Video Recording for edTPA

The edTPA performance assessment requires an analysis of the teacher candidate teaching.  Video recordings of the teacher candidate engaged in teaching and students learning provides the opportunity for the candidate to explore their teaching focusing on intended and actual lesson plan outcomes, classroom management and student engagement.

William Paterson University takes P-12 student privacy seriously and will be following and implementing the guidelines found in Principles for Using Classroom Video in Performance Assessments of Teacher Candidates (AACTE, April 2016) and Confidentiality of edTPA Candidate Materials and Assessment Data (edTPA, 2015).
