In spring 2025 and summer 2025, the Cotsakos College of Business at William Paterson University hosted several emotional intelligence workshops to enhance the emotional intelligence and overall well-being of William Paterson University community members, including students, alumni, faculty, staff, and small business professionals associated with the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers. These programs were made possible in part by the William Paterson University Alumni Association’s Lectureship award - FY25.

Join us for Emotional Intelligence: Leaders Empowered, an interactive workshop for professionals led by mental health counseling professional and educator Dr. LaShauna Dean.

This workshop empowers you to understand and manage your emotions and the emotions of others, enhancing your leadership effectiveness, resilience, and influence in the workplace. Through interactive exercises, you will assess your emotional intelligence strengths and identify areas for improvement. You will also develop strategies to improve emotional intelligence in high-stress work environments.
