This certificate will enable students to gain comprehensive knowledge of the many facets of individual and entity tax principles. Such knowledge will allow students to understand taxation for the purposes of planning, compliance and decision making. This certificate encompasses the application of the concepts learned from the courses in accounting, taxation and the legal system.

 

The primary audience for the certificate is matriculated students in business and other majors. The courses in the certificate can be applied towards an accounting major, should a student completing the certificate decide to pursue that program. Non-matriculated students wishing to develop taxation knowledge can also enroll in this certificate.
