About Transfer Pathways William Paterson University offers many partnerships with New Jersey community colleges. These transfer partnerships establish a pathway between New Jersey community colleges and William Paterson University. Each transfer pathway offers an 8-semester course sequence as an example of the path a student can take from the start of their academic program through completion of a bachelor’s degree at William Paterson University. Following the transfer pathway will allow students to save both time and money. Students who complete an associate's degree at a New Jersey community college will have their general education requirements waived through William Paterson University’s transfer pathways agreement program. When you take advantage of a transfer pathway with William Paterson University, our generous transfer policy ensures that we will count the maximum number of community college credits possible towards the completion of your bachelor’s degree.
