A lecture by Dr. Andrés Molina, juris doctor from Universidad del Rosario, in Bogotá Colombia, and Ph.D in philosophy from Binghamton University. Dr. Molina's lecture focuses on the importance of understanding corporations as duty-bearers of human rights obligations. He draws examples from the United Nations ‘protect, respect and remedy’ framework and from important legal cases of human rights violations in Colombia. The lecture also incorporates artistic expressions (film and literature) from his native Colombia in order to present the issues. The lecture is part of the Tinker Foundation and Latin American and Latino Studies Lecture Series.
