Stan Karp, Rethinking Schools editor, will lead this talk. Stan Karp taught English and Journalism in the Paterson, New Jersey, public schools for 30 years. He is currently Director of the Secondary Reform Project for New Jersey's Education Law Center. He has been a long-time editor for Rethinking Schools magazine and written widely on education and public policy. He is the co-editor of several books, including Rethinking Our Classrooms: Teaching for Equity and Justice, and Rethinking School Re-form: Views from the Classroom. See attached flyer.
