Mission Statement

The Office of Academic Progress monitors students’ academic performance via the Early Alert Program. The Early Alert Program is a retention tool used to identify students at risk of academic difficulty or failure.  This program is designed to facilitate students’ utilization of campus resources and improve academic success and persistence toward degree completion.  We encourage all faculty and advisors to use this tool as a first step in assisting students. Once a student is placed on Early Alert the Coordinator for Academic Progress, the student’s advisor, and the student is notified and the intervention process can begin. The Coordinator for Academic Progress is available to all students for academic consults. Strategies for successfully completing the course(s) are reviewed and discussed. Academic consults are based on OnCourse principles.
