Philo IPTV

It has been seven years since Residence Life and Information Technology introduced Internet Protocall TV (IPTV) which allows students, living in the residence halls, to watch live TV on the campus network (wired or WiFi) on a computer, variety of mobile devices and TV sets utilizing streaming device such as Roku.   As we continue to upgrade and implement new technology Residence Life and Information Technology decided it was time to upgrade the Philo IPTV system.   Beginning this fall semester, we are pleased to announce that our IPTV channel lineup has increased from 72 to 80 HD channels and that the old system had been replaced by the next generation IPTV hardware. As always, included with this service, is the ability for a resident student to pause and rewind live TV and enjoy 20 hours of their own DVR space. Philo IPTV offers you the flexibility and control you need to stay up-to-date on sports, current events, and the shows that matter to you most. In addition, non-resident students, faculty and staff on campus may continue to watch the over air, non-premium, channels.  For more information on how to get started with Philo IPTV visit the IT wiki website at “www.wpunj.edu/itwiki” and search “TV” or login to www.wpunj.edu/tv.
