To the William Paterson University Community:

I am pleased to inform the University community that Dr. Kara Rabbitt, Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, has been named to the American Council on Education’s 2019-20 Class of Fellows. The Fellows Program is the nation’s premier higher education leadership program, through which higher education professionals receive training and experience in executive office settings. Dr. Rabbitt will design a year-long program in consultation with ACE staff, through which she will gain skills that will assist her and William Paterson University in the coming years. She will spend the next academic year at a host institution, working closely with the president and administrative leadership team.
Dr. Rabbitt will join a class of Fellows from various colleges and universities around the nation. She will learn with and from them, as well as from a number of higher education leaders, several of whom will serve as her mentors. I wish Dr. Rabbitt great success in her Fellowship year.

During Dr. Rabbitt’s leave of absence from the University, Associate Dean Wartyna Davis will assume the position of Acting Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Dr. Ian Marshall will serve as Acting Associate Dean. I thank them both for taking on these new responsibilities.

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Rabbitt in this exciting new phase of her professional career.
Sincerely,

Richard J. Helldobler, PhD
President
