Murrow Lifetime Achievement Award, Cine Lifetime Achievement Award, and Gwen Ifill Press Freedom Award.

Woodruff studied at Duke University where she started as a math major and later switched her major to political science. She had interned for two summers with U.S. Representative of Georgia, Robert Grier Stephens, Jr. This experience sparked her interest in politics and would later have her covering some of the most ground-breaking political debates.

She has worked with television networks, such as ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN.

Woodruff is also the founding co-chairperson of International Women’s Media Foundation, an organization designed to promote and encourage women in journalism and communication industries worldwide.
