DETAILS for 8-week Summer 2023 Internship

The Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve (JC NERR) will again offer students the opportunity to conduct summer research in marine science. Students from any major can apply. There will be a virtual information session on March 9th for students to find out more about this 8-week opportunity. Students will receive a $4,000 stipend plus housing is available on site.

2.  SUMMER UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH - Atlanta, GA -
The School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Tech is now accepting applications for our Summer 2023 REU program. 
The program is 10 weeks long, starting on Sunday, May 21st, 2023 and ending on Friday, July 28th, 2023.  
The application is due Wednesday, February 15th, 2023.

Selected participants will receive a $6,000 stipend along with housing on campus throughout the duration of the 10-week program

Watermark is offering women in STEM scholarships for the fall 2021 academic term to provide much-needed support for college students pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)-related studies and careers.  Two students will be selected from the pool of applicants, and awardees will each receive $5,000 to help continue their education. The deadline to submit entries is July 15, 2021, and awardees will be notified in August.

On 1856 Eunice Newton Foote was the first scientist to publish papers making the connection between the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and climate change. She was the first woman in climate science, but she certainly wasn’t the last.

NSF/STEM Fellowships Boot Camp

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has provided funds to support the professional development of students in our LSAMP program in the area of self-presentation and research preparation, particularly for national fellowships such as the NSF’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP). This STEM Fellowships Online Boot Camp will enhance your career—at no cost to you. This Boot Camp consists of five live, synchronous online sessions, each lasting 3-4 hours.

The session will take place on Mondays, Feb. 22 and Mar. 1, 8, 15 and 22, all from 6-9:30pm (EST).
