Dark Star Orchestra will perform a tribute to the Grateful Dead on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at William Paterson University in Wayne. The show will be held at 7 p.m. in the University’s Shea Center for Performing Arts. Tickets are available in advance or on the day of the performance at $30 for orchestra and $25 for loge. Dark Star Orchestra’s performance at William Paterson University is part of its Fall Tour East 2012. The group is comprised of Lisa Mackey, Kevin Rosen, Rob Koritz, Dino English, Rob Eaton, Rob Barraaco and Jeff Mattson. Dark Star Orchestra was founded in 1997 as a tribute band to the Grateful Dead and has since performed more than 2,000 shows around the nation and the world. They perform Grateful Dead classics in the same way they were originally recorded to ensure their audiences a night to remember. Dark Star Orchestra’s commitment to “raising the Dead” and keeping the music of the Grateful Dead alive has garnered the tribute band media attention from internationally known outlets such as Rolling Stone, The Washington Post and the Associated Press.
