In fact, data matters so much so that businesses are currently experiencing a different crisis: a severe lack of business analysts. Demand for professionals in the area of business analytics has grown exponentially. In this two-part workshop and webinar series, you will learn about the current industry trends, roles, salaries, and responsibilities within the business analytics field. In addition, we will cover a few hands-on examples of how business analytics can be leveraged to turn data into insight. All material is provided free of charge to all those who register. SPEAKERDr. Myles D. Garvey is an Assistant Professor of Management Analytics in the Cotsakos College of Business at William Paterson University. He currently is tasked with designing and lecturing the graduate courses in the Master of Science of Applied Business Analytics Program in the Department of Marketing and Management Science. His research is primarily in the intersection of Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing Science, and Operations Research. More specifically, his research in Supply Chain Risk Propagation and Analytics has appeared in the European Journal of Operational Research, the International Journal of Production Economics, among other distinguished organizations. Dr. Garvey holds his Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management and Marketing Science from Rutgers Business School, a B.S. in Mathematics, and a separate B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Hartford. Prior to receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Garvey was a Middleware Consultant for RedHat.
