The Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with the William Paterson University Music Department, presents a special concert at the Shea Center for the Performing Arts. The program features Richard Strauss’s Horn Concerto No. 1 with Chris Komer, principal horn of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and acclaimed jazz improviser.
The world premiere of Duncan Lemay’s orchestral jazz arrangement of Antônio Carlos Jobim’s Dindi will highlight the evening, with soloists from William Paterson University and Chris Komer joining this exciting collaborative performance. The concert concludes with Rimsky-Korsakov’s vivid Scheherazade, bringing the tales of One Thousand and One Nights to life.
