INFORMATION FOR
Kelly (Hill) Waller ‘87 and Paul Waller ‘89
I met Kelly during our sophomore year, and we went on our first date in December 1985. Now, after 37 years of marriage, we are the proud parents of two grown sons and grandparents to three amazing grandchildren.
We’ve been fortunate to travel extensively, visiting many countries around the world. What made it all so special was that I got to experience it with Kelly by my side. If not for WP, we would have never met. Looking back on my time at WP, it truly was an amazing and wonderful chapter of our lives.
Reischell (Castillo) Velmonte ‘11 and Irwin Velmonte ’13
We first met on the first day of school at the WP arcade in September 2008. One day, he offered to walk me back to my dorm and we’ve been together ever since! In 2016, we revisited WP right after booking our wedding venue. Now, 17 years later, we’ve been married for 7 years and we have a beautiful daughter!
Donna (Hovart) Ammiano ’89 and David Ammiano ‘89
Met my now husband of 33 years at William Paterson in 1987. We lived across the hall from each other. We have three wonderful grown children, one sweet grandson and one on the way! We’ve had a blessed life and it all began on D floor in the Towers.
Julia (Gomez) Wardell ‘01 and Andrew Wardell ’09 (no photo)
My husband Andrew and I met on the H Floor of the South Tower, on the quiet floor, back in 1996. We both joined fraternity and sorority, TKE (Tau Kappa Epsilon) and ΔΦΕ (Delta Phi Epsilon). We were married by Father Lou, WP’s TKE advisor and campus ministry priest, in 2003. Our daughter Gabriela is now attending William Paterson and is part of Greek Life herself (DPhiE).
Janet Santos ’96 and Julian Santos ’96
Julian and I had a class at the same time on the same floor of the Science building. We started to notice each other, and before long, we realized we had some friends in common through Greek life! The rest is history!
Lauren Kozlowski ’18 and Anthony San Martin ‘19
We met in 2016 between classes on campus when he walked up to me and started a conversation. At the time, it felt like such a simple moment, but it quickly became the beginning of everything. I invited him to hang out in the Student Center, and from then on, we were inseparable - studying together, talking for hours, and grabbing snacks from QuickChek whenever we could.
Over the years, our friendship grew into a life filled with shared adventures. We discovered a love for the outdoors together - hiking, biking, camping, and kayaking across the East Coast, including mountain biking trips to the Kingdom Trails in Vermont. We also bonded over our shared love of gaming, anime, conventions like New York Comic-Con, and Renaissance fairs.
Years later, we returned to campus and stood in the exact place where we first met. It was a full-circle moment that reminded us how one simple conversation changed both of our lives forever. Now we're moving towards the future as husband and wife.
Julianna Ginefra ‘19 and Josh Thompson ‘21
Two weeks ago, Joshy surprised me with a 10-year anniversary photoshoot back at William Paterson, the place where we met and where our relationship started. I’m the luckiest to be with a man that can do something so thoughtful, something that he knows means so much to me.
Gary Yocono ‘79 and Cheri (Johnstone) Yocono (no photo)
Met my sweetie Cheri Johnstone at WPSC radio when I was a freshman. We dated and by my senior year I was station manager of WPSC-AM and 1979 Senior Class President. After graduation we married October 10, 1981. We were married for 41 years and she passed away of cancer in May 2023. Still miss my sweetie. All thanks to WP and WPSC radio; we met and had a wonderful life.
