       Bill Duffy (Head of Cataloging and Metadata)  completed multiple certification courses through the American Library Association including “Introduction to Cataloging” and “Fundamentals of Metadata”.

       Neil Grimes (Education & Curriculum Materials Librarian) presented at several conferences including a poster presentation “Digital Equity in the 21st Century Library: Implications for Academic Libraries” at the 2024 NJ Academic Libraries Conference. Neil also presented  “Middle School Social Reading Experiences while using Bookji” at the NJ Association of School Librarians Conference and “Bookji Research Study: Examining Middle School Reading Motivation, Engagement, Peer Influence, and Emoji Use” with Ellen Pozzi (College of Education).

Gary Marks, Jr. (Reference & Outreach Librarian) chaired the 2024 NJ Academic Libraries Conference. Gary co-presented a poster with Neil Grimes at the Association of School Librarians National Conference, “College Readiness: Academic & School Library Partnerships, A Statewide Organizational Approach.” Marks also presented, “Academic & School Library Partnerships” at the Association of College & Research Libraries Chapters Council Winter meeting and at the ACRL Chapters Council Special Projects & Highlights meeting. Gary is also serving as the President of the NJ Library Association College & University Section and the Association of College & Research Libraries NJ Chapter.

Linda Salvesen  (Systems Librarian) co-presented “Navigating an AI Future: An Academic Librarian Roundtable” at the 2024 NJ Academic Libraries Conference. Linda also co-presented, “Empowering Minds: Libraries Leading the Charge in Student Mental Health” with Neil Grimes at the Charleston Conference.

Dave Williams (Digital Initiatives & Special Collections Librarian) was recently elected to the Society of American Archivists User Experience (UX) Committee.
