Cara Berg (Reference Librarian & Co-Coordinator of User Education) co-presented "Embracing the opportunity to connect with Wellness Wednesdays" at the NJ Library Association Annual Conference and presented “Did they remember to use their Library? An analysis of student research paper bibliographies after library instruction” at the American Library Association Annual Conference.

Neil Grimes (Curriculum Materials & Education Librarian) co-authored “Using Bitmoji and Google Classroom to support remote literacy instruction in high-needs schools” in Digital Learning in high-needs schools: A critical approach to technology access and equity in PreK-12 and “How libraries support the mental health and wellness needs of communities and library workers” in Perspectives and considerations on navigating the mental healthcare system with Linda Salvesen (Systems Librarian). Grimes co-presented “College readiness: Academic & school library partnerships: An organizational approach” with Gary Marks, Jr. (Reference & Outreach Librarian) at the Association of College & Research Libraries Conference. Grimes was awarded a grant from Lyrasis in support of creating a micro-credential model for preparedness, response, and recovery for libraries. Grimes is currently co-chair of the NJ Library Association Professional Development Committee.


Gary Marks, Jr. (Reference & Outreach Librarian) presented “Pod-Talks: Using pod-casts to start conversations on equity, diversity, and social jus-tice” at the Association of College & Research Libraries Conference and “Public & academic library partnerships: Discourse & opportunity” at the NJ Library Association Annual Conference. Marks is currently serving as President of the NJ Library Association College & University Section and the Association of College & Research Libraries NJ
Chapter. Marks is also co-chair of the 2024 NJ Academic Libraries Conference. Marks was recently awarded tenure with promotion to Librarian II by the President & Board of Trustees.


Linda Salvesen (Systems Librarian), in addition to the co-authored publication with Grimes, is serving as Co-chair of the New York Technical Services Librarians Executive Board.

Nancy Weiner (Assistant Director, Access & Information Services) was recently appointed to the American Library Association Election Committee.


Dave Williams (Digital Initiatives & Special Collections Librarian) authored “Digital Initiatives in Academic Libraries: Challenges and Opportunities” in Libraries and the Academy. Williams co-presented “A press of one’s own: Hosted versus outsourced Pressbooks” with Richard Kearney (Electronic Resources Librarian) at the NJ Library Association Annual Conference and “Beyond academia: Designing archives out-reach for non-traditional users” at the MARAC Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Spring Virtual Conference.
