William Paterson Selected as 2023 NJBIZ Leaders in Digital Technology Honoree

William Paterson University has been selected as one of the 2023 NJBIZ Leaders in Digital Technology honorees. The award celebrates companies and individuals who have demonstrated innovation and excellence in technology and leadership in the digital space.

The University is the only higher education institution selected for recognition. Overall, 24 companies and 24 individuals from throughout New Jersey will be honored during a virtual awards ceremony on Thursday, March 30.

“William Paterson is honored to be included among the many great organizations and individuals named 2023 NJBIZ Leaders in Digital Technology honorees,” says President Richard J. Helldobler.  “We appreciate this recognition of our success in strategically deploying technology to support learning across the University, including the significant growth and expansion of our WP Online programs for graduate students and, most recently, adult learners. At William Paterson, we remain committed to the thoughtful use of digital technology as a means of increasing student access and success online and on campus to put more life-changing degrees into the hands of the students who are changing the social fabric of New Jersey.”

William Paterson’s nomination focused on the institution’s efforts to diversify program delivery options to meet regional needs, particularly its advancements in online learning, including the adult learning market. During the past several years, the University has evolved from providing primarily campus-based instruction to an institution offering a broad array of traditional on-campus degree programs as well as fully online degree programs on both the undergraduate and graduate levels, while deploying numerous digital resources to support students and faculty.

An independent panel with wide-ranging expertise and knowledge in business and technology fields judged the submissions and selected the honorees.
