INFORMATION FOR
The WP Football Mentor Program is a collaborative initiative developed by the Athletics Department, the Pesce Family Mentoring Institute, and the Office of Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy. Designed specifically for WP football alumni, the program connects them with current student-athletes to foster meaningful mentoring relationships.
We believe the insights and support of seasoned alumni can profoundly enhance the college experience for our student-athletes. Through one-on-one mentorship, participants will gain valuable life skills, career guidance, and preparation for both professional careers and graduate studies.
Each mentee is thoughtfully paired with a mentor whose experiences align with their goals, creating a personalized and impactful connection. We are confident that this program will strengthen student-athlete retention and success both on and off the field.
Here are some key details about the mentoring program:
Time Commitment: The time commitment for mentoring is flexible based on the mentor and mentee’s schedules. We suggest mentors and mentees communicate at least once a month.
Communication: Mentoring can take place through in-person meetings, phone calls, virtual meetings, and email exchanges, depending on what suits you and the mentee.
Benefits: This is an opportunity to give back to your alma mater, and to the program that played a significant role in shaping your own experiences.
