President's Select Grant

President’s Select Grant (Fall 2021)

William Paterson University’s President’s Select Grant awards a $500 credit to the University Bookstore. There is no separate application and the credit will be automatically disbursed on August 15, 2021 upon meeting the following eligibility criteria:

New Freshmen

  • Submit the enrollment deposit (or waiver) by June 1, 2021.
  • Attend four (4) campus-related events from the calendar below.
  • Orientation and Summer Foundations completion must be two (2) of the four (4) events, if applicable. (Please note: Orientation is different from virtual and on-campus accepted students days.)
  • Financial Aid Consultations/Workshop are strongly encouraged. (If you’ve attended a consultation prior to the enrollment deadline, your prior attendance will be used.)
  • Students must be registered as a full-time (12 or more credits) student to receive the grant.
  • Complete the Registration Confirmation Form, which acknowledges your receipt of your pre-packaged schedule.
  • Complete the Financial Responsibility Statement and make satisfactory payments arrangements for fall 2021 by August 1, 2021.

New Freshmen (EOF)

  • Confirm your enrollment by June 1, 2021.
  • Attend the Academic Institute Summer Program.
  • Financial Aid Consultations/Workshop are strongly encouraged. (If you’ve attended a consultation prior to the enrollment deadline, your prior attendance will be used.)
  • Students must be registered as a full-time (12 or more credits) student to receive the grant.
  • Complete the Registration Confirmation Form, which acknowledges your receipt of your pre-packaged schedule.
  • Complete the Financial Responsibility Statement and make satisfactory payments arrangements for fall 2021 by August 1, 2021.

New Transfer Criteria

New International Freshmen and Transfer

  • Orientation and Biweekly Check-in Sessions completion must be two (2) of the four (4) events, if applicable. (Please note: Orientation is different from virtual and on-campus accepted students days and academic advisement sessions.)
  • Financial Aid Consultations/Workshop are strongly encouraged. (If you’ve attended a consultation prior to the enrollment deadline, your prior attendance will be used.)
  • Freshmen: Complete the Registration Confirmation Form, which acknowledges your receipt of your pre-packaged schedule.

Join us for one of our upcoming Virtual Financial Aid Workshop. During this live Zoom event, you'll be able to:

  • Hear from our Director of Financial Aid and the Director of Student Enrollment Services.
  • Learn more about your financial aid award.
  • Discuss your options on how to fund your WP education.

Virtual Advisement and Registration Event

These events are only for transfer students. Freshmen students will be pre-packaged for their schedules. Transfer students are invited to join us for one of our Virtual Advisement and Registration events. During the live Zoom session, students will meet with an academic advisor to review their degree evaluation and register for courses.
