Faculty Senate 

The purpose of the Faculty Senate is to share in the governance of the University by recommending and reviewing policies and working to make policies effective. The Senate retains significant responsibility for curriculum review, proposal of new courses and programs, and curriculum revision The Senate functions primarily through its seven councils and two standing committees. The full Senate, with departmental representation, meets every two weeks during the academic semesters.
