Financial planning is expected to be one of the fastest growing careers into the next decade, but only about one-third of certified financial planners are women. The Opportunities for Women in Financial Planning program will feature industry leaders and experts who will explain the benefits of a career in financial planning.
The Cotsakos College of Business at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ is hosting a program focusing on Opportunities for Women in Financial Planning on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Networking and light refreshments will be held at 6:30 p.m., followed by the program from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the University Commons Ballrooms. The event is free and open to the public.
Jill Schlesinger, CFP®, CBS business news analyst, will be the keynote speaker and moderator. Panelists include Kate Healy, TD Ameritrade Institutional; Lazetta Rainey Braxton CFP®, Financial Fountains; Eleanor Blaney CFP®, CFP Board Consumer Advocate; and Nancy Kristner CFP®, founding chair of CFP Board’s Women’s Initiative.
