University’s 10th Annual Global Business & Finance Institute Conference on Thursday, November 3, 2016 to Feature Keynote Speakers William J. Pesce ’73 and David A. Brandon

Panelist discussions focus on “Finance and Accounting: Adapting to Become a Business Partner” and “Sustainable Infrastructure Development – The Role of the Private Sector”

William J. Pesce ’73, a member of the William Paterson University Board of Trustees and retired president and CEO of John Wiley & Sons, Inc., and David A. Brandon, chairman and CEO of Toys “R” Us, will be the keynote speakers at William Paterson University’s 10th Annual Global Business & Finance Institute Conference to be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016. The event is open to the public. Registration is $10 in advance, $20 at the event.

The conference is presented by the University’s Global Business & Finance Institute in the Cotsakos College of Business and will be held in the 1600 Valley Road Auditorium (Room 1012) from 2 to 6:30 p.m.

The conference begins at 2 p.m. with a keynote address by Brandon, followed by a panel discussion focused on “Finance and Accounting: Adapting to Become a Business Partner.” Panelists include:

  • Maureen DeCicco ‘87, CPA, partner, WithumSmith+Brown, P.C.
  • Melissa E. Sungela, vice president, corporate finance and tax, Wakefern Food Corporation
  • Susan Roos, partner, Private Company Services, PwC
  • Mary Kay Scucci ’86, PhD, CPA, Managing Director, SIFMA

At 3:30 p.m., there will be a panel discussion on “Sustainable Infrastructure Development – The Role of the Private Sector.” Panelists include:

  • Jeff Hipschman ’87, senior managing director, CBRE
  • Robert M. Beinstein. director of sustainability for the Environmental
    Financial Consulting Group, Inc.
  • Dana Robbins Schneider. managing director, LEED Fellow, JLL
  • Priya Nagaraj, PhD, professor, Department of Economics, Finance and Global Business, Cotsakos College of Business, William Paterson University.
