Visiting Artists from China

Twelve of China’s finest artists and representatives from the China National Institute of Art, one of the most renowned fine arts institutes in China, participated in a symposium on Chinese contemporary art at William Paterson University on May 10 in the Cheng Library Auditorium.

The symposium New Beauty of China – Contemporary Art and Artists was hosted by the University’s Center for Chinese Art in collaboration with the Chinese Contemporary Culture & Arts Foundation USA. The event was held in conjunction with the arrival of top artists from China for an exhibit at the Asian Culture and Art Center in New York City.

“We were honored to have such highly esteemed artists from China share their insight on contemporary art in China,” says Zhiyuan Cong, professor and director of the Center for Chinese Art at William Paterson.
