Michele Cascardi

Dr. Cascardi received her A.B. in psychology from Duke University where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. As a scholar, she has published extensively, with over 70 publications, in journals and books, on the topics of intimate partner and relationship violence, bystander education to prevent sexual assault on college campuses, childhood victimization, and post-traumatic stress disorder. She developed and evaluated school-based programs in Philadelphia and suburbs of NY to prevent teen dating violence and promote healthy dating relationships. Her research has been funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and National Institute of Justice (with over $2M in grant support).
