Country Rock Legends Poco and Pure Prairie League to Appear at William Paterson University on Friday, October 29

Poco and Pure Prairie League, two of the earliest groups in the country rock genre, will perform on Friday, October 29 at William Paterson University in Wayne, N.J. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in Shea Center for Performing Arts.

Throughout the years, Poco has performed in various groupings. In 1990, they produced the top 40 pop hit Nothin’ to Hide, co-written and produced by Richard Marx. From the 1990s through recent years, Poco continued to be a recording and touring force, logging in 100 shows a year. Their CDs include Running Horse in 2003, Keeping The Legend Alive in 2005, Bareback At Big Sky in 2006, and The Wildwood Sessions in 2007. In 2010 a new Poco era is dawning, led by Rusty Young, Jack Sundrud, and George Lawrence, forging Poco once again as a band to be heard.

Pure Prairie League, known for a string of hits including Amie and Let Me Love You Tonight, and the albums Bustin’ Out and Two Lane Highway, will open the concert.

The concert will include beautiful harmonies and hits such as Crazy Love, A Good Feelin’ to Know, Early Morning Riser, and the unforgettable Amie.

The event is part of William Paterson’s WPLive Vistas Series designed to serve the University’s students and faculty, as well as the surrounding multicultural community. Funding for the Vistas Series at William Paterson University has been made possible, in part, by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State.
