Magician Michael Turco to Perform at William Paterson University on Saturday, October 20

Michael Turco, a magician and illusionist and a William Paterson University alumnus, will perform at William Paterson University in Wayne, N.J. on Saturday, October 20, 2012. The show will begin at 7 p.m. in Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus.

Turco, who has been described by the Philadelphia Daily News as “a crowd-pleaser who merits a return to town,” is returning for a second season. Turco has been touring and entertaining sold-out audiences with his spectacular illusions, magic and storytelling since he graduated from William Paterson in 2005.

He headlined a show called “Wonder” for three years in Atlantic City, receiving high praise for his magic and illusion act. Turco co-produced a variety show featuring music, dance, aerial stunts and magic four nights a week at the Atlantic City Hilton. In 2011, he was a contestant on NBC’s popular reality television show, America’s Got Talent, where he made it to the second round in Las Vegas.

Tickets to the show are $18 for the general public and $15 for children, students and William Paterson faculty, staff and alumni. A portion of the admission fee will go to Wayne-VOAD (Volunteer Organization Active in Disaster). Wayne-VOAD was formed to help victims of flooding in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene. For ticket information, call the Shea Center Box Office at 973.720.2371 or visit www.wp-presents.org.
