Accreditation and institutional effectiveness are aligned in their emphasis on planning and assessment in service of continuous improvement of institutional processes and outcomes.
William Paterson University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 1007 Orange Street, 4th Floor, MB #166, Wilmington, DE 19801. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
The University's accreditation was re-affirmed in 2021. The most current statement of accreditation status is accessible on the MSCHE website.
