The College of Humanities and Social Sciences created innovative programming to ensure our students are ready for life after they obtain their degree.  Our Career Ready Campaign explores the 8 competencies you should master while a student at William Paterson and several ways in which you can obtain them as an undergraduate student! 

This semester we have offered several career related programs including:

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences has teamed up with the College of Business and Career Development Center to offer Etiquette Week - with the following events spanning November 7th-9th open to HSS students: 

  • Business Etiquette Basics: A Special Dining Experience - UC 211, 5:00-7:00PM - (by rsvp only, seating is limited.)
  • HSS: Table Talks with Nancy - Atrium 126, 2:30-3:30PM 
  • Hire Attire Fashion Show - Student Center, MPR 5:00-7:00PM

The College also offer access to Lynda.com for students interested in growing their technological skills and working on their digital technology competency! Lynda.com is a leading online learning platform that helps anyone learn business, software, technology and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals. The Career Development Center is an office dedicated to helping William Paterson students develop and transition into professionals in the working world.

The Pesce Family Mentor program is a great way to get connected with a mentor as an undergraduate student.
