Cara Berg (Reference Librarian & Co-Coordinator of User Education) recently co-authored "Supporting University Faculty With Online Assessments During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Challenges and Opportunities" in Intersection: A Journal at the Intersection of Assessment and Learning with Gamin Bartle (Director, Instruction & Research Technology), Heejung An (College of Education), Sesime Adanu (Executive Director, Office of Institutional Effectiveness), and Joelle Tutela (Director, Accreditation and Educational Innovation). Cara also co-authored a book chapter joined by Richard Kearney (Electronic Resources Librarian), Tony Joachim (Instructional Design Librarian & Co-Coordinator of User Education), and Judy Matthew (Head of Periodicals & Document Delivery) entitled "Toward a More Formal Mentoring Program," in Academic Library Mentoring: Fostering Growth and Renewal.
Neil Grimes (Curriculum Materials & Education Librarian) presented "Virtual Library Outreach to Support the Virtual Teaching and Learning Experiences of Faculty and Students: Supporting Teachers and Students in a Local Public School District" at the American Association of School Librarians National Conference. Neil co-presented with Gary Marks (Reference & Outreach Librarian) on the "NJLA/CUS-ACRL-NJ Outreach Partnership with NJASL" at the NJASL Fall Conference and the NJ Academic Libraries Conference. Neil and Gary also co-presented "Robust School Library Programs Lead to College Success" at the NJ School Boards Association Fall Workshop. Neil also led a webinar, "Real Men Read program, a community outreach literacy program" for the Association of College & Research Libraries Education and Behavioral Sciences Section.
Gary Marks, Jr. (Reference & Outreach Librarian) presented "Student Partnerships During COVID" at the ACRL-NY Fall Workshop. Gary co-presented "Rethinking Marketing and Outreach to Re-engage Our Communities" at the NJ Academic Libraries Conference. Gary also served as a panelist for "The Political Pulse of the Nation: Where Does America Stand?" hosted by the American Democracy Project. Gary was also elected Chair of the NJLA-CUS/ACRL-NJ Marketing & Outreach Committee.
Nancy Weiner (Assistant Director, Access & Information Services) recently received a two-year appointment to the ALA/CORE Awards for Buildings and Interiors Subcommittee.
