On the evening of Wednesday February 25th, Information Technology will be performing the annual update of the network security certificate that is used by computers, cell phones, and other devices to securely connect to both the campus wireless (WP Wireless) and wired networks.
Once this update has been completed, any device connecting to the campus wireless or wired networks may display a prompt asking you to Allow/Accept/Trust the new certificate. If you encounter this prompt, click the Allow/Accept/Trust button to enable your computer/device to continue to connect to the campus network.
If your device does not prompt you for the new certificate or does not automatically reconnect to the WP Wireless network after doing so, please 'Forget' the wireless network and follow the steps to reconnect to it.
If you encounter any issues, please contact our IT Helpdesk at www.wpunj.edu/helpdesk or (973) 720-4357.
Thank you. Information Technology

Saturday 2/21 9:45 am update:The planned maintenance has resulted in unexpected downtimes with certain campus systems (WPconnect, the IT Help Desk system, Degree Works, Banner). IT staff are working to restore system access as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Initial:On Saturday, February 21, 2026, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., IT/Enterprise Network and Systems Services will be performing an essential firmware maintenance on the University’s IT compute environment infrastructure.
Thanks to the architecture and redundancy of our compute infrastructure, there should be minimal interruption to any campus system services or resources. Although this is a non-disruptive system maintenance, we want to make our community aware in case of any unforeseen issues.
One known temporary restriction of service will be access to the campus-based Groups network folders. They are expected to be unavailable between 10 a.m. and noon within the broader timeframe.
If you do encounter any issues with access to campus resources either before or after this scheduled maintenance window, please report them as usual to the Helpdesk via Helpdesk ticketing system or 973.720.4357.Thank you.
