Running Late, a band featuring William Paterson University music student Lauren D’Imperio of Bergenfield as lead vocalist, as well as alumni Trevor Davis ’17 on keyboards and Ori Yekutiel on drums, will be the opening act for “The Linda Ronstadt Experience,” the premier touring tribute to acclaimed singer Linda Ronstadt, on Saturday, October 19 at 8 p.m. in Shea Center on the William Paterson University campus in Wayne. The band will perform a 20-minute opening set.

Regular admission is $25 for orchestra and $20 for loge. Tickets are $5 for William Paterson students with a valid ID; tickets must be purchased in person at the Shea Center Box Office during normal business hours or one hour prior to show time.

The alternative rock/pop New Jersey band, originally formed in 2009, has performed throughout the tri-state area. They have appeared with MGMT, Third Eye Blind, Smash Mouth, Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, America, CCR, Eve 6, Everclear and the Plain White T’s. The group is currently working on its second album, following its debut album, Better Late Than Never, which earned air time on college and independent radio stations across the country.

D'Imperio is quickly becoming known for her expressive interpretations, pure tone and versatility. She has had the opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall, the Theatre at Madison Square Garden, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, PNC Bank Arts Center, the Stone Pony and in London and Europe.

“The Linda Ronstadt Experience,” starring American Idol finalist Tristan McIntosh, who finished in the top 6 on the show in 2016, features the songs Ronstadt made famous in the prime of her career, including “You’re No Good,” “When Will I Be Loved,” “That’ll Be the Day,” “Blue Bayou,” and many more.
