William Paterson University Hosts Self-Empowerment Professional Development Workshop on Wednesday, May 23, 2018

A workshop to provide teachers and professionals with techniques to manage life’s responsibilities while creating a positive work-life balance will be held at William Paterson University on Wednesday, May 23 from 4 to 6 p.m.

“The Power of Writing One’s Story” through storytelling and literacy/communication will be discussed in the first breakout session by Gerri Mongillo, professor and chair of Educational Leadership and Professional Studies at William Paterson.

In the second breakout session, Georgette Van Vliet, high school supervisor and author of 11 Simply Brilliant Ideas for a Life of Love, Joy and Abundance, will discuss practices to add to the toolkit of self-empowerment.

Finding one’s voice through meditation and journaling will be discussed by Jennifer McGlynn, an elementary education teacher, reading specialist, Reiki master and yoga teacher.
