Kathleen Torsney

Dr. Kathleen Torsney is a Professor with over 30 years of experience working in the field of clinical psychology and neuropsychology at a variety of sites including Bellevue Hospital and the Lyons VA Medical Center. She has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of adults and adolescents with neuropsychological disorders. She is proficient in the evaluation of disorders in memory, attention, non-verbal and verbal learning, processing, perception, and language. Dr. Torsney coordinated a program for persons with brain injuries throughout all 5 boroughs of NY and she directed a program in NJ for nearly 500 persons with serious and persistent mental illnesses. She has also has considerable experience with cognitive rehabilitation as well with the assessment and treatment of individuals with a wide range of conditions such as substance abuse, compulsive disorders, mood disorders, anxiety issues, trauma, and psychoses. Dr. Torsney also consistently publishes articles and performs conference presentations on topics relating to neuropsychology.
