Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will demonstrate fluency with fundamental materials of musicianship in written and aural forms.
  2. Students will demonstrate an understanding of music in different historical and cultural contexts, and demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between these contexts and their implications on performance practice and analysis.
  3. Students will be able to write, perform and record music with an understanding of the appropriate compositional techniques and forms associated with various genres.
  4. Students will demonstrate a conceptual understanding of technology and the ability to utilize technology in their musical career.
  5. Students will demonstrate proficiency in the performance of music from different styles and periods.
