September 23 UPTOWN FLUTES

UpTown Flutes—a dynamic flute ensemble encompassing the full symphonic range of the flute family, including piccolo, C flute, alto and bass flutes—plays a program of contemporary music, featuring captivating works by Nancy Galbraith, Peter Schickele, and a stunning composition for piano and flute ensemble by Catherine McMichael.

 

SCHUMANN CELEBRATION

This year we are celebrating the 200 anniversary of th Robert Schumann’s birth. The music of the great romantic composer will be heard in two exceptional concerts dedicated to his solo and chamber music.

Pianist GARY KIRKPATRICK performs the Carnaval and will be joined by violinist Laura Hamilton, violist Ann Roggen and cellist Lanny Paykin in an exhilarating rendition of the Piano Quartet, Op. 47.

October 7 CONCERT II

Itay GorenWith this concert the celebration of Robert Schumann continues! Pianist ITAY GOREN, violinist Dimitri Hadjipetkov and cellist Suji Kim will perform the dark and passionate d minor Piano Trio, the sweepingly emotional 1st Violin Sonata and the euphoric Toccata for piano.
