Lubos Naprstek, Luthier Lubos Naprstek, New Jersey-based luthier, will talk about his guitars and their construction, which will be available for purchase. Naperstek learned the craft of instrument repair from guitar technicians and built his first hand- made classical guitar at age 17. After years of work as a guitar technician and as a student of guitar building, he developed a line of custom handmade classical guitars in 2003. Today, he spends much of his time attending various festivals and trade conventions throughout the country to promote his business. His knowledge and expertise in vintage classical guitars grants him privileged access to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Christie’s Auctions in New York for private measuring and photographing of some of the oldest and rarest guitars in the world.
