Portfolio Reviews

Portfolio reviews can take place throughout the summer for entrance into our BFA program for the 2014 fall semester. Please contact the Art Recruitment Office at 973.720.3732 to schedule a portfolio review and for more information.

A portfolio review is NOT required for entrance into the BA Studio program.

Some exciting news from current and former WPU Art students:

  • 7 paintings by former student B. Curtis Grayson, III will be featured in the new movie "The Best Man Holiday" directed by Malcolm D. Lee. Mr. B. Curtis Grayson, III received his BA in African Am. Studies in 1993, then returned to William Paterson to complete a degree in BA Studio Arts. The movie opens Friday the Nov. 15, 2013.
  • Jenni Lombardi has been accepted into the Louisiana State University graduate ceramics program in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They accept only 2-3 people per year and only have 7 graduate students at any given time. Jenni was also granted an assistantship where she will fire kilns for undergraduate students, do glaze mixing and teach classes. In return Jenni has been rewarded a full tuition waiver and stipend.
  • Tara Russo, WPU BFA alum class of 2000, will have two of her recent videos From: Black Oil, Passage to the After Life and El Camino Real en Tonos Tierra  screened at MoMa for Abstract: Currents on April 7, 2013. The collectively built abstract videoscape will be played on various screens and projections in MoMA's lobby and on the Marron Atrium walls.  Abstract: Currents is presented by PopRally in conjunction with the exhibitions Inventing Abstraction, 1910–1925 and Abstract Generation: Now in Print.
  • Fort Lee designer and art department alum, Izabela Rodzen-Olesinski had her 3D work feature in the Fall 2012 issue of (201)Home Magazine.


The University Galleries mount changing exhibitions of contemporary art and make these available to students and faculty and to residents of the surrounding communities.
