This twin-track program prepares you for the rapidly growing demand in finance and financial services.

Demographics, technology, and social economic factors are fueling the rapid growth and demand for well-trained senior finance and financial planning professionals. The master of science program in finance and financial services in the Cotsakos College of Business gives students the knowledge and tools necessary for leadership roles in these emerging fields. The curriculums will be aligned with the industry standard professional certifications, CFA® for the finance track, and CFP® for the financial services track.

Admission Requirements

In addition to the University’s admission requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with an overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
  • Demonstrated mathematical proficiency. A grade of B or better in business math, precalculus, or calculus (or equivalent).
  • International students must provide evaluated transcripts by any NACES approved agency. 3 year BA/BS degrees accepted.
  • TOEFL, ELS or IELTS is required for international students whose prior degrees were not taught with English instruction.
  • Resume must be submitted.
  • GMAT or GRE is not required, but may be submitted to demonstrate academic preparedness for program.

Application Deadline

The MS in Finance and Financial Services program offers a rolling admissions process that allows students to apply up until the first week of each semester. You are encouraged to apply by February 28 for summer/fall admission and October 30 for spring admission.

Focused on industry standards, this program prepares students for senior level positions in the finance and financial services industry. Graduates will have industry relevant skills and the ability to use appropriate technologies and processes that lead to improved financial performance for organizations and individuals. Completion of this program can lead to CFA® (finance track) or CFP® (financial services track) designations.
