Vote for WP’s Environmental Sustainability Video as University Competes for National Award!

William Paterson University is a finalist in the 2012 Second Nature Climate Leadership Awards contest, which recognizes innovation and excellence in climate leadership at institutions that have signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment. We invite you to participate in the process by voting in the public, online component of the competition between now and April 14.

In conjunction with the contest, the University has produced a video highlighting our sustainability efforts, which can be viewed on planetforward.org along with videos for the other finalists. Viewers can vote on the most innovative and groundbreaking institution in each category.

Voters will log their votes using their profiles on Facebook. Winning videos will be featured at Planet Forward’s “Moving the Planet” conference the week of April 16. In May, the steering committee from the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment (ACUPCC), an agreement between nearly 700 colleges and universities to promote sustainability through teaching and action, will select the official 2012 Climate Leadership Award winners.
