To the William Paterson University Community, Alumni and Friends
This year's Veterans Day, or Remembrance Day as it was originally called, will mark the tenth anniversary of Post 9/11 combat. William Paterson University is one of 135 schools in 47 states to host a National Roll Call during which volunteers will be reading over 6,000 names of casualties in the two major theaters of combat – Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Included in this event will be fallen service-members family guest speakers, a running slide show of service-members killed in action from New Jersey, a color guard processional, and gospel choir performances.
