Dear friends:

Though you have heard it many times before, please allow us to say once more: thank you! Thank you for your unwavering support of William Paterson University, for your contributions over the years to the Annual Fund and scholarships, and for understanding the important role these funds play in our ability to best serve our students.

As a demonstration of our appreciation, we would like to invite you and a guest, with our compliments, to one of three entertaining shows at the Shea Center for Performing Arts on the University campus in Wayne.

  • Imani Winds, a Grammy-nominated ensemble, has carved out a distinct presence in the classical world and will perform at William Paterson as part of the Cross-Cultural Arts Festival on Thursday, March 24 at 8:00 p.m.
  • Created by lead singer and guitarist Abdoulaye Diabate, Super Manden is a collective of musicians and music educators from Mali and Guinea, and a highlight of William Paterson's second Cross-Cultural Arts Festival. They will bring Jaliya, the Malinke oral tradition of Central West Africa, to the Shea Center stage on Friday, March 25 at 8:00 p.m.
  • Finally, on Sunday, May 8 at 2:00 p.m., Connecticut Children’s Theatre presents Patty’s Green, a live action musical eco-program for young children and their parents which promotes green living, earth care, nutrition, and recycling. Celebrate Earth Day with “Patty” and your whole family!

In addition, this year we are pleased to be able to offer at a discounted rate tickets to the following performances:

  • The Roy Haynes Fountain of Youth Band on Saturday, March 26 at 8:00 p.m.
  • Kashmir: The Led Zeppelin Show on Saturday, April 2 at 8:00 p.m.

If you are interested in attending any of these productions, please contact Ann Appleby at (973) 720-3201. Please note that seating is limited and tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information on these and all performances at William Paterson University, please visit our website at wplive.org.

With warm regards,
