Subject :     NJBIZ Names President Waldron One of 50 Best NJ Women in Business

To the campus community

I am pleased to announce that President Kathleen Waldron has been named one of New Jersey’s Best 50 Women in Business for 2013. The awards program, produced by NJBIZ, honors New Jersey’s most dynamic women in business who have been making headlines in their field. President Waldron was nominated for this honor by Linda Bowden, New Jersey regional president of PNC Bank, a member of the board of the William Paterson University Foundation and a 1978 master’s degree graduate of the University.

To qualify, each nominee had to meet selection criteria that included living or working in New Jersey and holding significant authority for decision making in her company. An independent panel of judges selected the top 50 winners based on their dedication to business growth, professional and personal accomplishments, community involvement, and advocacy for women.

The honorees will be recognized during an awards ceremony on March 21, 2013 at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, NJ.

Please join me in congratulating President Waldron on this wonderful and well-deserved honor.
