• Please order tickets only for students in your class who will definitely attend the event (Single tickets are free and available with valid William Paterson ID on the evening of the event at the Shea Center box office.)
• Arrive early to allow ample time for parking
• Do not distribute tickets in the Shea Center lobby (if you can only distribute tickets on the night of the event, please meet your students elsewhere, e.g. Atrium lobby)
Diane Ravitch: Will Reform Improve the Schools?
Diane Ravitch, one of the nation’s leading authorities on American education history and policy, will discuss issues related to test-based accountability and school choice. This 2011 recipient of the Daniel Patrick Moynihan Award for the careful use of social science for public good will discuss her beliefs about school reform, then offer a roadmap for getting schools back on track. Ms. Ravitch’s presentation is a must-attend lecture for anyone interested in the future of education in this country.
