Dear WPU Alum:
 
The Department of Public Health at WPU is seeking your assistance in determining interest in a new masters’ degree program it is proposing in Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in health communication.  
 
The core coursework  for a public health degree includes:  social and behavioral sciences, biostatistics, environmental health, epidemiology, and health administration.  The health communication concentration would include coursework in areas such as risk communication, social marketing, public relations, interpersonal communication, among others. Students completing the degree would be prepared for employment in agencies, organizations, businesses or institutions that are concerned with addressing  the public’s health  at the individual, community and societal levels.
