As 2018 gets underway, I am happy to share with you some new developments and exciting news from William Paterson University.

William Paterson University hosted the second and final New Jersey gubernatorial election debate on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus. WP once again welcomed to campus moderator Kristine Johnson, co-anchor of WCBS-TV in New York, as well as former Lt. Governor, Kim Guadano and New Jersey’s newly appointed governor, Phil Murphy.

Recognized as a leader in Jazz studies and home to the Living Jazz Archive, WP celebrates the 40th Anniversary season of its Jazz Room Series. With over two decades of continuous grant support from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State and additional support provided by grants from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and the National Endowment of the Arts, the Jazz Room Series is the longest-running campus-based jazz concert series in the nation.

33 Newly appointed William Paterson Board of Trustee member, Joe Velli, has dedicated his talent to The Bank of New York as Senior Executive Vice President and as a member of the bank’s Senior Policy Committee. With years of experience in the financial services industry, Mr. Velli, a WP alumnus, was welcomed to the University’s Board of Trustees in 2017.
