Body Positivity:

Don't Let Your Mind Bully Your Body!

What is body positivity?  Loosely defined, it is a movement (relatively new!) that encourages people to adopt more forgiving and affirming attitudes towards their bodies, with an ultimate goal of overall good health and well-being.

Whether you want to maintain your weight, work out to be more comfortable, or change your lifestyle to have a better attitude about your body - the body positive movement focuses on building self-esteem through improving your self image. It focuses on all body shapes and sizes, and teaches you to love yourself to the fullest.

This webinar is presented by WP alumna Sharon Ryan MEd '96. Sharon received her master's from WP in Counseling, where she specialized in eating disorders. She continued her education and is now a certified personal trainer and a board-certified bariatric counselor and educator. In this webinar, Sharon will discuss the history of the body positive movement, how women (and men) are affected by the media and our culture, and ultimately how you can find peace and learn to love the body you have.

Because self hate isn't okay at any size.
