Keynote Speaker: Dr. Steven M. Bellovin, Professor of Computer Science, Columbia University

Do computer scientists have affirmative duties to educate policymakers and ultimately influence the consequences of policy choices? Sponsored by UPS, William Paterson University will host this thought provoking discussion about the impact of the computer science industry on society and law in this engaging lecture lead by Dr. Steven M. Bellovin of Columbia University.

A member of the Cybersecurity and Privacy Center of Columbia’s Data Science Institute, Dr. Bellovin is the author of Thinking Security, holds a number of patents on cryptographic and network protocols, and has served on more than three National Research Council study committees.
