This has been a remarkable past year for both the TV and radio station at William Paterson University. From winning national awards for their broadcasting excellence, being invited to the White House and then representing the USA at the International Student Radio Conference in Finland - the award-winning radio and television stations at William Paterson University are now teaming up for a special purpose, and need your help!
Coming off their recent wins at the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System Awards in NYC, the students of #TeamHobart now have their hopes set on attending the 2017 National Student Electronic Media Convention in San Antonio, Texas this fall. There they will be able to connect with other broadcasters from around the nation, learn best practices from industry experts, and have their media reels and shows assessed for their impressive quality. Both the TV and radio station will also be looking to enter their prestigious awards competition too, for the first time ever.
For most this is a once in a lifetime opportunity so we’re asking our alumni to volunteer as online advocates for their fundraising efforts. Starting April 18, WP radio and tv supporters can help promote and donate towards their goal using our social media crowdfunding tools. With your support, we can help them reach the NSEM Convention.
Please email Ann Appleby by April 5th at applebya@wpunj.edu to volunteer as an advocate and learn more about how you can help champion this noble cause!
P.S. Mark your calendars for Brave-a-thon on April 21, a 15-hour fundraising event with 15 live bands, student introductions, interviews, and more!
