Addressing the Student Debt Crisis

Student debt in the US is at an all-time high as are the default rates on these loans. Millions of young Americans graduate each year only to find themselves with an enormous debt burden, which they evidently find difficult to repay. This webinar will address the student debt problem, its legal framework, and the role of various institutions in generating and perpetuating the status quo.

Our presenter, Dr. Ali Mir, will discuss ways of looking at the issue of student debt in order to generate solutions that address the root of the problem. Dr. Mir received his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts. He specializes in issues relating to power and exploitation in organizational settings and their link to broader social and economic regimes.
